Death, taxes and new information are revealed for the new season.

The next season of Apex Legends is approaching, and with it comes a new Story from the Outlands cinema. With just a YouTube link and a teaser frame, Respawn has announced that the game's next lore video will premiere at 24:10 CT on January 00.

Stories from Outlands cinematics tend to be several minutes long. However, as they prepare for a new season, they're often focused on the next legend to join Apex Games, and fans can expect clarifications from tomorrow's movie theater.

The thumbnail doesn't give fans any clue as to exactly who will be in the video. The image is of an elegantly dressed, eye patch old man with a character that fans have not seen before. Judging by the Syndicate logo on his chest and his outfit, which is more extravagant than we're used to seeing from Outlands, it's fair to assume he's a leading figure in the organization. This man has not been featured in Apex's lore so far and does not appear to be directly linked to the teasers for next season.

In addition to the Twitter teasers, a dogfight took place over Storm Point this Friday as part of the preparations for season 12. Fans thought this week's teasers could feature the planet Salvo to some extent. The wingtip of the defeated fighter jet has a Salvonian seal seen in season eight when Mad Maggie blew up Kings Canyon. But for now, it's unclear how Stories from the Outlands will fit into the main narrative next season.
