League of Legends's 2021 Spotify streams increased tremendously in November and December, according to League Charts. Riot Games and Netflix's Arcane series also have their share of responsibility.

While there were monthly rest numbers ranging from 65 million to 99 million between January and October, the last two months of the year showed a radical improvement compared to the rest of the year, according to the data of LoL Charts. Monthly streams rose from 92 million in October to 221 million in November when the animated series Arcane, inspired by League, aired.

December had the highest streaming volume, up 100 million in just one month and ending with a total of 327 million. November and December, the highest months in terms of activity, also determined the timeframe for the show's first season.

The top-streamed songs for League reinforce the idea that Arcane is responsible for this massive growth. Arcane's title song "Enemy" ranks as the currently most popular song with a total of 207.103.321 plays. Other songs in the series such as “Playground” and “Get Jinxed” were also among the most played songs on the account.

In addition, the Arcane soundtrack is touring Spotify's Top Global albums, according to SpotifyCharts, and topping the charts since November 25, being among the most popular albums worldwide for six consecutive weeks.

The increase in streams for League is a testament to Arcane's growth and continued popularity, as well as Riot's overall investment in music.
