Blizzard's New Mobile Game Warcraft Rumble Released Earlier Than Expected. The new Warcraft spin-off was released a day before Blizzcon.
In an unexpected surprise, Warcraft Rumble was released early. Blizzard's new free-to-play mobile spin-off game appeared on the App Store earlier today, and based on early testing, it looks completely playable.
Warcraft Rumble, originally named Warcraft Arclight Rumble, was previously expected to be released at BlizzCon, which will start tomorrow. Instead he left a day early.
Warcraft Rumble was first announced in 2022 and was billed as a mix of tower defense and MOBA. Players can collect more than 65 miniatures as they develop their own army.
In our first preview, we wrote: “I am impressed with the depth of strategy it can offer. But it's still basically a Warcraft spin on the kind of mobile strategy game about finding something to do while waiting for your lunch order to be called, rather than the kind of life-destroying adventures Blizzard is best known for.
“And you know, it might not make me tremble with excitement, but that's totally fine as long as they can avoid some of the worst trends in mobile game monetization that would make even Gallywix, the Prince of Commerce, cringe. There's fun to be had even in this first release.”
