Gamers will not be able to enter ranked play tomorrow as planned.

The ranked game was due to arrive in Call of Duty: Vanguard this week, but avid fans will have to wait a little longer after Treyarch Studios had to delay the release of the new mode due to unforeseen issues.

According to CoD developers, the ranked game update had to be delayed after discovering a "stat cracking" issue that could be in the game.

“In pre-launch retail testing, we discovered an issue that only appeared on live servers, breaking statistics,” Treyarch wrote on Twitter. The problem described by the developers went undetected as it could not occur on closed test servers. “As a result, the Beta will not be released tomorrow morning as intended.”

Treyarch reassured fans that resolving the new Vanguard issue and getting live game rankings is their top priority, and said they expect an update for fans soon.

Despite being released three months ago, Call of Duty: Vanguard's ranked game beta wasn't set to go live until February 17. This has been delayed until earlier this week due to stability concerns and to coincide with the launch of Season Two. Since Vanguard launched, fans have been eager to test their skills in competitive modes, but now they'll have to wait a little longer.

As of now, there is no date when players can expect to access ranked mode. Make sure to follow Treyarch's social media here to get the latest updates.
