Sony has announced that Call of Duty: Vanguard is the second most downloaded PS2021 game on PlayStation Store after NBA 2K22 in 5
Vanguard was launched on November 5th, meaning it managed to hit the list in a very short time. Black Ops Cold War, another Call of Duty game of 2020, ranked seventh in the US and Canada on the same list, and ranked 15th in Europe.
The rest of the top 20 are dominated by sports games such as Madden NFL 22, MLB The Show 21, FIFA 22, NBA 2K21 and FIFA 21. Other games include specials like Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank.
On PS2021 in 4, the download list is slightly different. Black Ops Cold War ranked second only to Grand Theft Auto V in the US and Canada, while Vanguard took fifth place.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Warzone was the second most downloaded game in the US and Canada when it comes to free games, only surpassed by Fortnite.
Sony releases PS Store statistics every year, and when it comes to top-selling games, Call of Duty and sports games remain constant. Considering that the first and third most downloaded games in 2020 were Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare respectively, this year was a step back for CoD.
