Queso Cup returns in 50.000 with a Golden Edition offering a $2022 prize pool and a Gold Ticket to the Clash Royale League (CRL) World Finals 2022, Supercell announced yesterday. The competition will start on April 11 and will run until May 1.
Supercell announced earlier this year that it would partner with community tournaments to award eight of the 2022 Golden Tickets at the 16 CRL World Finals. Golden Ticket winners will book a spot at the World Finals, which will take place from September 23-25. The first of these tournaments, the Bernard Chong Golden Cup Edition, became the player to win the first place in the World Finals last month when Samuel Bassotto of Brazil won the tournament.
The Queso Cup Golden Edition is divided into three stages, the Global Tournament, the Closed Tournament, and the Grand Finals.
Phase One: Global Tournament (April 11-16)
The first phase of this tournament is open to all players. Players will try to get into the top 128 of the standings by collecting as many wins as possible before losing five times.
The 128 highest-paid players will advance to the second stage.
Second stage: Closed Tournament (23 and 24 April)
128 players will battle over two days for 16 places in the Grand Finals. Matches at this stage will be broadcast on different broadcasters' channels.
Stage Three: Grand Finals (April 30 and May 1)
The final 16 players will then compete for a share of the $50.000 prize pool and Golden Ticket. The prize pool will be divided as follows:
Champion: $30.000 and Golden Ticket
Second Place: $15.000
Third Place: $5,000
The CRL World Finals 2022 will take place from September 23-25 to determine a world champion. There will be 16 players in the competition. Supercell did not reveal many details about this event, except that it will take place in August.
