Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update PC System Requirements You will now need an SSD to play the game. CD Projekt Red has updated the system requirements for both Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update and its upcoming expansion pack, Phantom Liberty. The new update will only support SSD, so make room or buy one if you need to replace it.
The updated system requirements are significantly higher than the previous minimum requirements. Now you will need 12GB RAM and 6GB VRAM to run the game at low level and the expected fps will be 30. The current minimum requirements are close to those recommended at launch for the game. Running the game at resolutions higher than 1080p or with ray tracing will add its own hardware features. CD Projekt Red also recommends removing all mods before installing 2.0. The changes made to the base game are extensive enough that any mod could cause compatibility issues and glitches. It's best to wait until the mods themselves are updated to fit 2.0. The developer also recommended checking your cooling systems before playing Phantom Liberty, as expansion can be heavy on your CPU. Update 2.0 will be released on September 21. Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26.
