Diablo 4The Sorcerer's spells in ' use different elements. Also, the class has a unique mechanic where abilities can grant passive procs. Here is our Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment guide to help you unlock these powerful passive bonuses.
Unlocking the Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment mechanic
Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment slots are unlocked at levels 15 and 30. As of now, we're not sure of the level 25 slot requirement given that the beta only covers characters up to level 30.
However, the first slot at level 15 has a class-specific quest called Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi. Be sure to follow it so that it is marked on your map. Here is the gist:
- You will need to head back to the southwest of Nevesk. This is basically where you start the campaign.
- There you will meet a Sorcerer named Mordarin, who wants you to retrieve the Forgotten Codex. The item can be found in a nearby dungeon.
- The dungeon has its own reward, but can be looted from the chest marked Forgotten Codex. Clear the dungeon if you want, but you have to take the book back to Mordarin.
- You will then enter a club where you have to interact with four braziers. Mordarin will try to exploit the elements but will accidentally summon demons instead.
- After killing the demons, you will unlock the Diablo 15 Sorcerer Enchantment slot for your level 4 character.
Once you own a Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment slot, you can choose any active enchantment (i.e. non-passive and non-Ultimate) with at least one rank. This can come from an allocation of skill points, or better yet, any item that adds a rank as long as you equip it. For example, if you have a random talisman that gives +1 to Teleport, it's like Teleport unlocked even though you haven't used a single skill point.
In any case, go to the Skills panel and click Skill Assignment. The bottom part is where you can choose a spell that will have an extra effect. These Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment slots offer incredible blessings as active skills, quite different from their usual quirks. Most of them even activate regardless of the skill you use to defeat enemies or trigger the effect.
- Basic Skills :
- Spark – +12% chance to generate Crackling Energy when you kill an enemy.
- Fire Bolt – Additional 48 burn damage for eight seconds after dealing direct damage.
- Frost Bolt – +15% cooling effect from direct damage.
- Arc Lash – Stuns enemies for 0,5 seconds after using a cooldown (i.e. dash).

- Fireball – Enemies you kill explode in a Fireball that deals 50% of their damage.
- Ice Shards - Automatically summoned and flies towards frozen enemies.
- Chain Lightning - Automatically spawns when you spend 100 mana.
- Charged Bolts – 40% chance to release Charged Bolts when you stun an enemy.
- Incinerate – A snake will Incinerate enemies every 20 seconds.
- Frozen Orb – Any non-Essential skill you use has a 20% chance to start a Frozen Orb.
- Defensive Skills
- Flame Shield – Automatically activated each time you take lethal damage; can only occur once every 120 seconds.
- Frost Nova – +30% chance to unleash Frost Nova when using Spirit Summoning skills.
- Ice Armor – +5% chance to apply Ice Armor on hit.
- Teleport – Your escape is replaced by a short range Teleport with a 17 second cooldown.
- Magic Skills
- Blades of Ice – Spawns an Ice Blade on a random enemy every 20 seconds of cooldown.
- Hydra – A five-headed Hydra spawns to spend 300 mana each time.
- Lightning Spear – +10% chance to generate a Lightning Spear each time you collect Crackling Energy.
- Mastery Skills
- Firewall – +5% chance to create two Firewalls underneath each time an enemy takes burning damage.
- Blizzard – Blizzard will spawn around you every 15 seconds.
- Meteor – Lucky Strike; +3% chance for a Meteor to fall on enemies.
- Ball Lightning – Lucky Strike; +25% chance to spawn Ball Lightning when you critically strike.
We recommend equipping the Fireball as there is only one Diablo 15 Sorcerer Enchantment slot available at level 4. Each kill you make causes enemies to explode, which can cause a chain reaction of explosions due to guaranteed procs.
