You will encounter many NPCs in Dragon's Dogma 2. Some provide quests and additional bonuses, as you will learn later. One in particular appears quite early in the campaign. At work Dragon's Dogma 2 Claw Them Into Shape Here's our guide on how to complete the mission. Likewise, we would like to remind you that this guide contains minor spoilers.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Claw Them Into Shape – How to complete Beren's quest?
Beren is a veteran Warrior who trains recruits at the Borderwatch Outpost, a small settlement you visit within the first hour of starting the campaign. Even though there is no warning for this, you may still want to tackle a specific goal as quickly as possible.
Where is Beren found?
You will find Beren in an area called Moonglow Garden. To get there, follow the path west from the Borderwatch Outpost, then turn north at the campsite next to the bridge. A few meters ahead you'll see a path leading to a grassy area to the east.
Note that Beren is only visible in this area at night. Therefore, to pass the time, you should rest at the campsite.
In any case, talk to Beren and agree to help him with the Dragon's Dogma 2 Claw Them Into Shape quest. This task has several purposes:
- Collect three swords.
- Find a recruit.
- Defeat Beren by pushing him out of bounds.
Where to find swords?
To complete this step, you need to give Beren three swords. Any one-handed sword will do, including relatively inexpensive swords purchased from merchants.
Where can I find a recruit?
When you reach the capital of Vernworth, you should meet a boy named Humphrey. If you pass near the Inn or the Professional Guild, he will approach you. Tell him about Beren and he will start training with him.
How to defeat Beren in a duel?
- Once you complete the first two missions, Beren will challenge you to a duel and you will be automatically teleported to the training area at Borderwatch Outpost. Here's what you need to do:
- You must push Beren or push him out of bounds. Try to avoid their attacks and wait for an opening. When he stumbles, you can pick him up and throw him out of the circle.
- If you get pushed out you lose the fight, but the task continues to the next step.
- If you keep hitting Beren with attacks (i.e. draining his HP pointlessly), he'll get angry that you're beating him senseless.
Once the duel is over, the Goblins are said to attack the surroundings. Follow Beren and his men and defeat the attackers. When you reach the end of the path, a soldier tells you that a Cyclops injured some soldiers. This mishap causes Beren to be fired from the police station, but this is not the end of the episode.
Quest: Beren's Final Lesson
Wait for time to pass or sleep, then night Return to Moonglow Garden. Beren will be waiting for you there. He wants revenge on Cyclops for injuring his soldiers. Suddenly Cyclops will appear and attack everyone.
If you've already progressed through the adventure, there's really nothing to worry about as the Cyclops is the weakest of all the elite monsters. However, if you're feeling low-level or under-equipped, your best option is to switch to the Archer profession. This allows you to hit Cyclops' weak spot (his eye) from further away.
After the boss is defeated, talk to Beren and he will tell you to visit him again before leaving. Use the nearby campsite to rest until the next day. Talk to Beren once more and he will give you a weapon of his own. lifetaker Let him give me his great sword.
Now that you've finished Beren's quests in Dragon's Dogma 2, all that's left is to visit him at his childhood home, located behind the big gate in Checkpoint Rest Town.
How to get to Checkpoint Rest Town?
Here's how to get to Checkpoint Rest Town:
- Until Commander Brant tells you about the Feast of Deception mission (i.e. the coronation), you will find the main mission objectives in Vernworth (i.e. the coronation). Caged Magistrate, Masquerade/Stolen Throne and others) complete.

Maister Teaching: Warrior – Arc of Might
With everything you do for Beren in Dragon's Dogma 2, he'll be more than happy to reward you. Once you pass the gate at Checkpoint Rest Town, walk a short distance down the road.
