After four months of closed beta, Fortnite is now playable through Nvidia's GeForce Now service. This means iOS users can now play Fortnite with peace of mind

The official launch follows a months-long beta period, which Nvidia says 500.000 people have logged over 4 million Fortnite sessions through the service. As a result of testing, Nvidia said it was able to optimize "on-screen touch controls and game menus."

While iOS users will get the most from Fortnite's arrival on GeForce Now, the game can be played anywhere Nvidia's cloud gaming service is available. As of this writing, the service is accessible via Windows, macOS, Android, native apps on Android TV, some LG TVs, browsers including Chrome and Edge. However, Fortnite is already available on most of these hardware, so in many cases it may be easier to play the free-to-play game locally.

On GeForce Now, Fortnite has been in development for a long time, with Epic and Nvidia announcing their intention to launch the game in November 2020.

As part of today's announcement, Nvidia says it will give each beta tester a free three-day Priority subscription to GeForce Now, which normally costs $8,99 a month (currently $80 in Turkey).

Nvidia said its gaming service now includes a game catalog of 1.300 titles accessible through a combination of Steam and the Epic Games Store.
