Fortnite is partnering with Kaws for the Kawspeely skin, which will be released on July 2. Kaws is a New York-based artist and designer known for his sculptural work on characters and themes. The new Fortnite skin will be another in-game variant of the beloved character Peely.
The Kawspeely skin will include:
- Kaws Companion Back Bling
- Far From Home Glider
- Ripe On Time Wrap
This will be the second Kaws skin to come with other pieces like the Kaws Back Bling before. These pieces are making a return, but will now have the option to change their color, such as the Gray Days style and Black Nights, in addition to the original style.
The Kaws Skeleton skin will also be returning to the Fortnite item shop along with Kawspeely. Kaws Skeleton will come in four different color variations including:
- Green
- Pink
- Bone-Color
- Orange
Kaws will also host an island in Fortnite's Creative mode that will be a remaster of Kaws and the Serpentine Hub, which launched earlier this year at the Serpentine North Gallery in London. The island will feature an art gallery filled with Kaw's work, including the "Kaws New Fiction" art exhibit. The exhibition will also feature paintings, sculptures and augmented reality artworks developed with Acute Art by Kaws. Players can visit Kaws and the Serpentine Hub by entering the island code 9441-7852-6686.
