G2 Esports has officially entered the fast-growing female VALORANT scene, now signing the majority of the former XSET CS:GO roster under the name G2 Gozen.

The new roster consists of Julia “juliano” Kiran, Michaela “mimi” Lintrup, Petra “Petra” Stoker, Zainab “zAAz” Turkie and Anja “aNNja” Vasalic. With the exception of aNNja, all G2 players most recently made the switch from CS:GO after battling under the XSET organization for most of 2021.

Players announced last month that they were leaving XSET and moving to VALORANT while looking for a new organization to represent them.

They played in the first EMEA Game Changers event under the name The Originals and joined aNNja, who just moved to the Rix.GG Lightning bench two months ago. The Originals made it to the semi-finals, losing to eventual champion Tenstar Nova. According to VLR.gg, between the qualifiers and the main event, aNNja finished with the highest ACS and KD of all players in Jett and Raze at 325.1 and 1.98, respectively.

The newly signed G2 women's roster is expected to compete in the qualifiers for the second EMEA Game Changers event scheduled to kick off on October 25.
