Yordle has been a longtime fan favorite on Teamfight Tactics, and their addition to Set 6 is no exception. Early in Set 6, Yordles were rarely the strongest composition. They were often used in the early game to gain economy, but stacking six Yordles and going Veigar was almost never the best decision in high-grade TFT. That all changes with Set 6.5 Yordles.

Yordle in 6.5; fun and easy to learn, workable, and combines it with a powerful composition.

In Yordle, your primary carrier will be Corki, newly added to Set 6.5. Since one of Corki's best items is the Blue Buff, opt for Tear of the Goddess on the first item selection.

The first PvE rounds are very important for Yordle, as it is an absolute must to activate the three features as soon as possible. Get Ziggs, Lulu, Corki, Poppy or any other Yordle early so you can start collecting more units at the start of each round. Make sure you have three Yordles on your board throughout the entire game. This will give you the best chance of finding more Corkis.

As soon as you find your first Corki, you can start loading it. Corki's items usually follow Blue Buff and two powerful damage items. Matching Infinity Edge and Jeweled Gauntlet can be a good choice and can be given in Giant Slayer depending on the lobby.

Early and mid-game, the faster you can get to a 2-Star Corki to help balance your board, the better. You must fit him into six Yordles as quickly as possible, with two or more powerful Yordles such as Vex or Gnar. Unlike previous iterations of Yordle, it's not entirely necessary to 3-Star every Yordle on your board. While it's nice to get some Veigar to secure the Late-Game, Corki can perfectly carry your comp on his own.

Late-Game composition and positioning champions

Yordle positioning is very simple. You will want to support your Corki and protect him from any threat. That means cornering a less important unit like Ziggs if you're worried about an enemy Blitzcrank's hook. Vex, Poppy and Gnar can all be on the front lines. Socialite hex can be used well by Corki, Gnar or Vex, but it's not worth compromising position if it's in a bad spot like the middle of the board.

After you get the Corki items, the most important unit you will rank will be your tank. Apart from Corki, Vex or Gnar are the most important Yordles to make 3-Star. Doing so will allow you to stack tank items on them so that you have a useful front line to protect your Corki. If you choose the 3-Star route on each Yordle, you will eventually want to collect Veigar units as well.

For both versions of the Yordle composition, re-rolling the dice at Level 3 to reach 5-Star single-cost Yordles (Ziggs and Poppy) might be a logical choice. This hopefully gives you even faster access to 3-Star Corki and Vex/Gnar .

If you can reach level 8, the image above shows what a perfect Yordle board looks like. 2-Star Jinx and/or Veigar will maximize composition and allow you to win the lobby.
