In Nintendo Switch Sports you can customize your characters far beyond the old Miis. You can give them unique hairstyles, accessories and outfits, but you must unlock them first. Our Nintendo Switch Sports guide explains how to unlock cosmetics quickly.
You can unlock cosmetics only in “Play Globally” mode. You can play in this mode even if you don't have Nintendo Switch Online, but you will only be matched against bots.
EARN POINTS IN NINTENDO SWITCH SPORTS
Each time you play a match, you will earn 30-40 points with different multipliers added depending on the various achievements you complete while playing. For example, a bowling shot will earn you additional multipliers. Playing well and getting a few multipliers can get you over 100 points in a game.
The best way to earn points is by bowling, as it basically gives you 40 points per game and it's the easiest way to earn multipliers. If you stay in the last round of bowling, you can get about 130 points.
HOW TO UNLOCK COSMETICS WITH POINTS
You will receive a random reward at 100 points, but you can choose from the available styles to decide which set you want your reward from.
If you collect all items in one set, you will receive a completion bonus, a special outfit to match the theme.
Cosmetics come and go in sets. Currently, players have until May 10 to collect items from the Simple Collection and until May 18 to collect items from the Cute Collection. You can see the products in the current collections below. As of now, only Nintendo Switch Online users can get things from Simple Collection.
