Intel completely stopped its business in Russia after the country invaded Ukraine. Intel joins the ever-growing list of companies withdrawn from Russia.

Following the suspension of sales and shipments in February, Intel suspended all of its Russian operations. Intel issued a statement condemning Russia's war against Ukraine and calling for a return to peace.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this war, especially the people of Ukraine and the region, with their family, friends, loved ones and people all over the world,” Intel said.

“We are working to support all our employees in this difficult situation, including our 1.200 employees in Russia. We have also implemented business continuity measures to minimize disruption to our global operations.”

Intel and AMD, along with a number of other companies, stopped shipments to Russia and Belarus in February. Microsoft, EA, Nintendo, Sony, Epic Games, CD Projekt RED and many more have withdrawn from the Russian market. EA has stopped sales in Russia and banned Russian teams from esports, while Epic Games has raised funds for Ukraine through Fortnite.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24. Since then, a number of companies have withdrawn their businesses from Russia, both as part of US sanctions and voluntarily.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is said to have recently pushed for increased sanctions against Russia.
