Fortnite Chapter Two concluded with a dramatic live event where Seven helped escape the Cube Queen's wrath and turned Ada to seek the truth. Now, Imagined Order (IO) is trying to make its way on the other side of the island, according to in-game teasers that surfaced this week.
Seven works closely with Agent Jones to eliminate IO's existence. However, even after the Island has been flipped, the organization seems to be slowly making its way onto the map using the Drillers. These machines have an IO logo confirming that they belong to the organization. Typically, these IO sounding gadgets have two NPCs keeping position and a jump ramp to help players move around the game.
The first IO Drill site appeared on the east side of Logjam Lumberyard on January 4, 2022, and another one has appeared on the lower right side of Greasy Grove today. These areas are in the snowy part of the map and Dr. Fits Slone's stealth snow style, a new addition to the Fortnite team pack. According to Hypex, three more drilling sites will be revealed before players reveal their true intentions to return to the IO island.
IO is famous for its loop/simulation preservation, where players get stuck and force them to relive the same day as part of the battle royale. But when Agent Jones cuts all ties with the organization and joins hands with the Foundation, Seven's leader, it deals a blow to IO's business.
IO's arrival on Fortnite island certainly doesn't mean good news for Seven. Drill pitches may be setting the theme for the next season of Chapter Three, which could highlight another conflict between IO and Seven as they battle to control the Isle.
