Warner Bros. held a special panel for the fighting game MultiVersus at San Diego Comic Con.
LeBron will first enter the game on July 26. Morty Smith will join the cast at the start of Season 1 in about two weeks. Rick Sanchez's release date has yet to be confirmed.
A short gameplay video for LeBron was also released, showing off his basketball-themed moves, both in a Tune Squad jersey and a cowboy-themed alternative. The video also gives short snippets of other new features, including a Rick and Morty themed scene.
Early access to the MultiVersus open beta began for select players on July 19, and after the closed alpha testing in May, a number of changes were made to the roster. The beta will open to everyone on July 26 and Season 1 will kick off on August 9 with Morty Smith.
MultiVersus open beta will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Players can still earn a code into the early access phase by watching Twitch streams of the game to earn a code via Twitch Drop.
