Content creators and competitive players in many other fighting games have made Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl a must-watch when the two elements come together, and Ludwig does just that by hosting a $16 team fight on October 20.000.
In this post, both Super Smash Bros. Two teams of professional players or personalities from the competitive scene will take part. Mang0 and ESAM will be split between Melee and Ultimate as they manage their own teams.
Crew combat is nothing new to the fighting game community (FGC) and has been a staple in tournaments since most matches are played in arcades. They have two teams of even numbers of players fighting in an exhibition to see which team can beat the other, and each game has different rules.
For Smash, players tend to have a chosen character that will be using a certain number of stocks, and a starting player who will send their team first. Next, the two teams will have players compete against each other one at a time until every player on one side is eliminated, and each victorious player will carry their remaining stock from the previous game to the next round.
These are intense attrition, bullshit, and strategy battles where teams must come up with plans to capitalize on their strengths by dispatching their players at the right time, or simply hope that one player will lead them to victory.
For Ludwig's event, teams will each have 10 players, much more than usual. But they're all in familiar territory, as crew battles are a mainstay in the Smash community.
