Microsoft has announced that it's offering a free three-month trial of its Game Pass service to anyone who's played Halo Infinite, Age of Empires 4, or Forza Horizon 5 at any point between its release date and February 28. This includes anyone who has bought and played these games on Steam or the Microsoft Store, as well as anyone playing Halo Infinite's free multiplayer game.

Offer only available to players who have “never” subscribed to Game Pass. If you're a previous subscriber who later unsubscribed, you won't be able to re-enter for free to check what has changed. The offer also excludes Russia and India regions. The reasons for this were not disclosed, but it may be related to Microsoft's suspension of all sales in Russia after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Players, here They can check their eligibility for a trial by visiting the Xbox website and signing into their Microsoft account. Once the trial period has expired, players will be charged the current subscription fee if the subscription cannot be canceled at any time.

Aside from the upcoming reports of the Game Pass 'family plan' that will allow gamers to share access between multiple accounts in the same country, it appears that Microsoft is making a major effort to expand the reach of its service.

In any case, it's undoubtedly the best time to take advantage of Game Pass. As Wes recently pointed out, the subscription can't stay that good forever. Price hikes are inevitable, especially as massively anticipated games like Starfield start appearing on the service.
