In addition to other minor changes, the UI is slowly starting to evolve for the better. For example, a fix for a social menu bug was rolled out in November, and an update made the social menu easier to navigate.

How to add in same console or system?
Adding friends is extremely easy if the person you want to team up with has the same system as you.
Playstation
- Select Friends from the home screen.
- Go to Add Friend
- Type PSN IDs
- When you find the correct name click Add
Xbox
- Open the guide panel
- Scroll down to the People tab
- Select find someone
- friends enter gamertag
- Select Add friend

How to add friends using Activision ID?
If you need to add a friend using a different system, you need to find them via Activision ID.
Activation ID
- Scroll down to the Social tab
- Select Add Friend
- Type your friend's Activision ID
Depending on your other friend's console or system, using any of these methods will allow you to team up with your teammates.
