A series of unfortunate events caused the NA VCT Last Chance Qualifier to be delayed again.

Pairing between Cloud9 Blue and Rise was somehow interrupted by a power outage caused by the weather. The match will resume on Thursday, October 28th at 14.00:XNUMX PM (CT). To accommodate the changes, tomorrow's matches will be played after the match.

The LCQ was initially delayed on October 19 after FaZe's Corey Nigra and Andrej “babybay” Francisty tested positive for COVID-13. Players claimed that the results came back negative after taking a second test.

"I'm completely vaccinated," Babybay said. “My test result was negative for several days in a row. I tested positive 10 minutes later and then negative again. Can't play on stage and have to quarantine? LA covid rules are different bro sheeeeesh.”

Riot has decided to postpone the event until further notice, as they are "very cautious" regarding the health and safety of everyone involved. VCT NA said, “Player and staff safety remains our top concern while navigating the current situation.” Said.

The winner of Cloud9 Blue and Rise will face 29 Thieves in the upper group finals on Friday, October 100. The loser will be relegated to the lower group of the tournament.
