Subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack, allowing players to enjoy classic Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles, will be released on October 25. Fans can enjoy other benefits such as online play, new Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC, and Sega Genesis games.
During its latest Nintendo Direct showcase, Nintendo announced a new version of its Switch Online subscription that includes access to Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games. The new Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion service provides access to classic games such as Super Mario 64, Winback, Mario Kart 64 and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. More Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games will be released in the future, giving players more incentive to purchase subscriptions.
Nintendo announced today that the service will launch on October 25 and includes other benefits such as access to the new Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise DLC and online play for up to four players. The teaser trailer also showed how players can create suspension points and easily save their progress. They can even rewind gameplay in Sega Genesis games.
Fans can enhance their experience with accessories like the wireless Nintendo 64 controller or the Sega Gebeus Control Pad, both available for pre-order.
Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack service costs $12 for 49,99 months. A family membership is available for $12 for 79,99 months and allows up to eight Nintendo Account holders to use the service.
