Ninjas are getting ready before the new season starts.

Ninjas in Pijamas has signed Daniel “djL” Narancic as their new CS:GO coach, the organization announced today.

DjL will replace Björn “THREAT” Pers, who will be NiP's head coach until mid-December 2021. He has since assumed the role of coach. “Daniel is an excellent choice for us – a new coaching talent that has shown promising results so far with limited resources,” NiP said.

The 27-year-old is a former player who tried his luck professionally at teams like Jalapeno, Chaos Esports Club, and Epsilon Esports. However, he did not find much success with either of these teams, which led to a change in dahL's career. He started coaching at the end of 2019 and has been in that position ever since with a one-month exception in the spring of 2020.

His first job in the new role was with GamerLegion, where djL spent four months. He then gained coaching experience as part of c0ntact and Copenhagen Flames, winning BLAST Rising 2021 with the latter. It has been part of Apeks for the past few months.

However, the Norwegian establishment failed to qualify for any A-tier tournaments and did not shine at other low-level events in Europe. So, at the end of last year, he decided to completely overhaul his roster. Apeks has already completed its starting roster by signing players like nawwk, jkaem and STYKO. Now, as djL continues, the organization will need to look for a new coach.

NiP probably has high hopes to get into 2022. The organization hasn't won a major event in CS:GO since Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Oakland in November 2017.
