Ninjas in Pajamas qualified for the ESL Pro League season 750.000 quarterfinals today after their 12-2 win against mousesports in the last 1 rounds of the $14 tournament.
Ninjas won 16-12 on Ancient, the first map in this CS:GO series. Mousesports did an excellent job of tying up the series in Vertigo (16-6) but failed to make things work on the T-side of Inferno, the last map of the series. NiP was down 8-7 at the start of the second half, winning all CT rounds to take the map and the series.
This feat was a collective effort of all NiP players, rather than just one or two showing up. Fredrik “REZ” Sterner was the best performing player with 52-45 K/D and 1.10 rating. He was the only NiP player with more kills than kills.
This is a disappointing loss for mousesports and especially for Robin “ropz” Kool, Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras and David “frozen” Čerňanský.
NiP continues to play great Counter-Strike in season 14 of the ESL Pro League and now has a two-series winning streak that started with a win against one of their top teams, Gambit, on the final day of Group D for the championship.
NiP will play against OG in their first ESL Pro League season 14 quarterfinal series, taking place on Thursday, September 9 at 09:00 am CT.
