For the first time since 2018, not a single League of Legends fan has had a perfect Pick'em prediction at this year's Lolesports.com Worlds Pick'em game.

Today, in the final game of the tournament, LPL's EDward Gaming dethroned reigning world champion DWG KIA in an epic five-game battle. The only remaining excellent Pick'em player chose DWG KIA to win the series. However, with EDG's historic victory, all Pick'em applications worldwide were blocked.

As the tournament continued, more and more LoL fans saw their dreams of a perfect Pick'em come to an end. The group stage got most of this year's Pick'em submissions wrong, and predicting the results for all four groups was a challenge for all but 8 of the nearly 48 million players. Last year, only eight Pick'em players predicted the 2020 tournament correctly.

In particular, the only player on Lolesports.com to make it to the Worlds grand final with a perfect Pick'em prediction has tight control over the second tier of players on the site's leaderboard. While no prediction is perfect, a total of 119 players live in the third tier of the leaderboard.

With the conclusion of the World Championship, professional League of Legends will enter its annual off-season. The 2022 regular season is scheduled to begin in January with local leagues worldwide.
