Version 1.6 of PUBG Mobile is expected to be released this month, and Tencent has released the first teaser for it.
In a tweet from PUBG Mobile's official Twitter account, it was revealed that a "dangerous meteorite" was headed towards Erangel in patch 1.6. It looks like an alien invasion is taking over the map.
PUBG Mobile announced its collaborations with Alan Walker, Jujutsu Kaisen, Zaha Hadid Architects.
In past updates, Tencent made major changes to the Erangel map for a new mode. In patch 1.5, this was the Mission Fire mod that completely overhauled a number of locations on the map and also added many new features like vehicles, Bridges and more. All these developments were made by technology and energy company DynaHex.
It looks like the Yarilo invasion will change the map for patch 1.6. Currently, no other details about the upcoming patch have been announced.
Tencent releases a new patch every two months. Version 1.5 arrived in July, the new update is expected to launch later this month. The Project T Royale Pass will expire on September 13, so the new update may arrive on that date.
In patch 1.5, Tencent made a big change to the way the Royale Pass works in the game. Instead of a single two-month RP, the company has released two Royale Passes, each lasting one month. Each pass had 50 tier rewards and their price was significantly reduced to 360 UC. We'll see if these changes carry over to version 1.6 as well.
