Respawn has released a new update for Apex Legends. The update addresses an issue with Storm Point that has plagued Wattson, Rampart, and Pathfinder since the start of the Warriors Collection Event.

When the Warriors Collection Event went live on March 29, the accompanying update unexpectedly featured a bug that made Wattson, Rampart, and Pathfinder's abilities unnecessarily difficult to use when playing at Storm Point, placing an object.

Short patch notes for the fix were listed in an announcement by Respawn.

Most of the general improvements that the patch brings were not detailed, but fixes were highlighted for next-gen consoles, Control, and the Bangalore story event The Williams Sendoff. Next-gen console fixes included updates that should allow third-party controllers to work on Xbox Series X and S consoles once again. The fixes in The Williams Sendoff most likely include a fix for an issue Respawn noted last week where completion could lock a player's FOV to 70 until they restart the game.

With Control leaving Apex once again tomorrow, players will only have this evening to enjoy the update. But the updates to these limited-time modes so late suggest that we can expect to see Control mode again this season or the next. With the amount of effort put into the UI and systems behind the new game mode, it's not surprising to see Respawn keep trying things and integrating what they tried to a point in their game.
