After weeks of speculation and publicity, Riot Games has finally announced the next champion to join the ever-expanding roster of playable characters for League of Legends. The God of Oblivion, Bel'Veth, is gearing up to become the newest "Void"-based jungler to hit Summoner's Rift.

LoL players got their first glimpse of the new champion in a new cinematic as Kai'Sa comes face-to-face with the latest threat to the kingdoms of Runeterra. As Kai'Sa struggles against the immense power brought by the Void Empress, the trailer gave a frightening glimpse of what could happen.

Bel'Veth is a leader "born from the combined memories, experiences, and emotions of a vanished port city and its distant ocean, with a mind that holds millions of years of knowledge through the ages." He aims to lure all creatures into the Lavender Sea, destroying the world of Runeterra and replacing it with himself. Remember, he's not just the "Void" leader. He himself is "Nothing".

League of Legends players don't have full in-game information about Bel'Veth yet. However, there have been some leaks about the champion, including his in-game model and full skill set.

As shown in the cinematic, Bel'Veth potentially has two forms at his disposal: his humanoid form and his corrupt monster form. He is also said to transform into monster form during his ultimate ability, Endless Banquet.

Riot said more details on Bel'Veth will be released next week.
