During the Silent Hill Transmission livestream last night, Konami announced the next main game in the Silent Hill series: Silent Hill F will be developed by Resident Evil Re:Verse developer Neobards Entertainment.

The game's story will be penned by Ryukishi07, the famous Japanese author of the When They Cry visual novel series. Motoi Okamoto, who previously worked at Nintendo from 1998 to 2007, was commissioned as a producer on the project.

The trailer shows a girl standing on what appears to be some sort of monument adorned with red and pink flowers. The video then transitions to a town full of red vines that are slowly taking over a Japanese village and trying to catch the girl. The final scene shows the same girl swimming in a small boat after being taken over by mysterious plants, the girl then looks at the screen and sheds a tear before her face falls off her head. You can check out the trailer at the link above.

Alongside the Silent Hill F project during the Silent Hill Transmission livestream, Silent Hill 2 Remake developed by The Medium developer Bloober Team, another project developed in partnership with Annapurna/No Code, including Silent Hill: Townfall, a Silent Hill 2 movie adaptation, and Silent Hill Ascension. More than one announcement was made regarding the Silent Hill series. In addition, Silent Hill Ascension is expected to be a "real-time interactive series" developed by Genvid and Bad Robot, unlike other games.
