SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a new adventure for the yellow sponge from the studio behind the Battle for Bikini Bottoms remake.
A new game starring Nickelodeon's yellow mascot is on THQ Nordic's 10th anniversary digital showcase SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake announced as. Although SpongeBob has continued to appear in many Nickelodeon games in recent years and has been included in the cast of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake will be the first all-new console release for the character since 2015's SpongeBob HeroPants.
The Cosmis Shake comes right after a very successful remake of SpongeBob's best-remembered interactive adventure in Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. THQ NordicThe remake of the platform game has sold over two million copies as of May 2021. As with SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, Battle for Bikini Bottom -Rehydrated was developed by Purple Lamp Studios, which was acquired by THQ Nordic in late 2020. The publisher has made clear in the past that it plans to remake or re-release more Nickelodeon games in the future, but the runaway success of Battle for Bikini Bottom may have spurred a viable sequel.
During its 10th Anniversary Showcase, THQ Nordic officially unveiled SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, which seems to pay homage to the long-running cartoon's golden age. “Sweet Victory” The announcement trailer, set to the melody, features SpongeBob as a caveman, wearing his karate gloves and riding a seahorse in the aquatic wild west. The game's interdimensional plot was made possible by SpongeBob's relationships with Kassandra, a mysterious fortune teller who made her debut in The Cosmic Shake. Publisher THQ Nordic promises that the game will feature more than 30 SpongeBob skins in total, and players will have to enjoy all of them in seven different alternate worlds, connected by the fortune teller's dimensional portals.
Although there is no release date yet, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch ve PCConfirmed to come. The game has also been confirmed to be an entirely new adventure build based on Purple Lamp's work on Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated. Patrick appears as a friend floating in the trailer alongside SpongeBob, so he could serve in a similar capacity as Link's nymph Navi in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake gameplay has yet to be revealed, but official art also confirms that a large cast of SpongeBob characters will appear in some capacity, including the often overlooked Pearl and Larry the Lobster.

THQ's history of gaming with the spineless baby cook goes back a long way, leaving behind a gaming legacy that THQ Nordic has rekindled with this new platform game.
Players new to SpongeBob's game exploits may have found that Battle for Bikini Bottom will be set in their own way. This journey into the spongy multiverse can be a great entry point for classic platformer veterans as well as those new to the franchise's games.
