Square Enix has officially unveiled Tactics Ogre Reborn, an updated version of the classic turn-based strategy RPG, for release later this year.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is based on the 2011 game Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. The game follows a tale of political intrigue and betrayal, including branching out paths based on the player's choices at key moments for Denam.
This Reborn version of Tactics Ogre will feature cutscenes voiced in both English and Japanese, a new control scheme, and a complete reorganization of the class system, switching from powering up the entire class at once to a unit-by-unit boost system. Improved algorithms will be present in the game that will allow enemy units to instantly adapt strategies for more unique battles.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is an isometric strategy RPG that puts players in command of a warrior unit as they battle in a 3D turn-based arena. The game will be released for PlayStation 11, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on November 5.
