How can you add symbols (special characters) to your VALORANT name?
Adding any of the 14.000+ characters to your Riot ID is simple. To add special characters to your VALORANT name, follow these steps:
- Visit the Riot ID Symbols website: https://riotidsymbols.com/
- Search for the symbol you want to use.
- Click to copy the symbol.
- Now you need to log in to your account on the Riot Games site. Here You can login to your Riot account by clicking
- After logging in, go to the Riot ID tab in the menu at the top left.
- Then enter your new name/nickname and hashtag
- After clicking the "Save changes" option, you can log in to Valorant and start using your new name.
The Riot ID Symbols website can also be used to check if a name you want to use is a valid Riot ID. You can make sure your name is valid by pasting the name you want into the “Check Riot ID Validity” box of the site.
Once you know your name is valid, clicking the clipboard to the right of the box will copy the entire name and you can paste it directly as your new Riot ID. This means you can create your full and preferred name on riotidsymbols before entering on the Riot website.
Your name will now contain the symbol.
When adding symbols to your VALORANT name, remember the following:
- The symbol must be one of the allowed characters in VALORANT names. You can find the list of allowed characters on the Riot ID Symbols website.
- The symbol must be between 1 and 16 characters long.
- The symbol must be unique. Moreover, you cannot use the same symbol in more than one name.
Also note that Riot Games will only allow you to renew your name every 30 days!
