Riot emphasized that this system is in alpha testing phase, meaning the new mode is far from being completed anytime soon. “Premier in its current state accounts for about 60% of all planned and functional features, but there are all features that are not available in the current Alpha,” Riot said in a press release.

A release date was not specified in these statements as for when VALORANT players will see the mode, but it will likely be released in February 2023 before the main VCT season kicks off.

Riot will evaluate the Premier's performance during its presentation to players in Brazil. This assessment will ensure that necessary corrections are made only when a small number of players encounter bugs or issues that may be present in the game mode.
