The beta version of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight, is now live, and you have a chance to play the beta right now. If access is granted, you will receive a notification from Blizzard and will be able to try out new content Dragonflight has to offer before its as yet unknown release date. How to gain access is described below.
More players will now be able to test the new expansion, including the new Invoker class and features like dragon riding. Anyone can sign up for the beta, but not everyone who signs up gets access (at least at first). Sign up for the official Dragonflight to the website Just go and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click the beta join button, sign in to your Battle.net account and then you're set.

Blizzard will let you know if you have beta access and you will be able to download the beta from the dropdown menu in the Battle.net launcher. Select any version of World of Warcraft (Shadowlands or Wrath of the Lich King Classic) to find the drop-down menu and click the first drop-down arrow in the lower left corner, under the “Game Version and Account” section. You'll see a list of game versions available, and one of them will contain the "under development" builds you have access to. Once the beta appears in this list, click “install” and enjoy.
Blizzard has made it clear that Dragonflight's alpha testing period will be shorter compared to previous expansions. Rather than leaving the entire expansion to alpha testing at once, Blizzard has updated the alpha with new content almost weekly.
Dragonflight is still scheduled for release before the end of 2022, and a potentially leaked Activision Blizzard document points to a late-November release. Blizzard has yet to officially announce a release date.
