Damage mags will be banned in the latest version of the Call of Duty League's competitive ruleset for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

All damage modifiers are now restricted along with any drum clips on the playing field. Vital and Frenzy perks are also now limited with the Recoil Booster add-on.

Vital increases the area for critical hits and Frenzy adds health regen after kills, so it makes sense to see them banned. Recoil Booster is an add-on available for most of the current meta-weapons and gives an increase in fire rate.

However, the Extended ammo type is now listed as unlimited. This add-on increases projectile velocity and is used by most CDL specialists on assault rifles and submachine guns. It is a must for most gamers.

It is still unknown when the 2022 CDL season will begin or whether the league will even take the 12th team. But for now, CDL pros can use the existing ruleset to organize competitions and tournaments to get used to the game and be ready when the league year officially starts.

The full list of changes to the ruleset is below, and the rest of the competitive settings can be found on CDL's website.
