Likewise, it's worth noting that you can fast travel to unlocked locations at any time, with a few exceptions. You can do this while idle in the city, diving through the clouds, swimming, and more.
Shrines – As you explore the Big Sky Island starting area, you will enter various Shrines to learn new abilities. You will notice blue circles appearing on the ground in front of each Temple. Then, when you're almost done with that part of the game, you're informed that these circles act as fast travel points. From there, you'll be able to fast travel from any Temple you've previously "tagged" (i.e. tapped on its green glyph to make it appear on your map).
Skyview Towers – When you interact with each Skyview Tower's corresponding terminal, you will unlock that structure's teleporter, which will fill your map with details about the surrounding surface and sky regions. Since these will launch you directly into the sky, you will be able to see nearby landmarks and glide towards them.
Lightroots – Chasm is the underworld in the game and is almost as large as the surface area. Although completely shrouded in darkness, there are glowing spots called Lightroots. These are large tree bulbs with a yellowish glow. When you reach one, interact with the body to unlock the ground as a fast travel point. Moreover, the Roots of Light will reveal a portion of that area in the Abyss. Any heart debuff you get from the gloom debuff will also go away.
Travel Medallions – The Last Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fast travel method is the Travel Medallion. This special function is unlocked by completing Robbie's quests. You are then given three of these items and you can place them at your current location. When you place one, it will act as a fast travel point and you can even reclaim it in case you want to use it elsewhere.
