Some information is still subject to change.
Earlier today, the Alliance announced a tentative schedule for the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit before Valve or any other source releases any information.
This reported roster would see the 2022 DPC expand, with a third Major tournament added to the schedule and kick off with the first season of regional play on November 29.
These three Major regional league formats align with previous reports shared last February that announced the first change to a DPC format that will go into effect for the 2021 schedule. These plans were eventually shelved due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19, resulting in a slight shortening of the season this year.
Now Valve will reportedly return to its original plans by hosting three separate regional seasons and three Majors during a DPC cycle that all goes back to The International.
Here's the tentative schedule, which the Alliance shared on social media, and the team noted that all dates for the Majors are merely estimates based on what the organization has heard from Valve. There's also a break between episodes of season one, labeled as a break between teams for Christmas and New Year's.
- Regional League Season One
- 29 December – 22 December and 5 – 23 January
- Major
- 17-27 February
- Regional League Season Two
- March 14 - April 24
- Major Two
- 11-21 May
- Regional League Season Three
- June 6 - July 17
- Major Three
- 4 to 14 August
The Alliance has apparently confirmed that based on TI's traditional August timeframe, regional qualifiers will likely take place in October from now on, with the qualifiers likely to take place in late August and early September.
We don't have a confirmation from Valve for the dates yet, but a full confirmation of the dates will likely come at The International 7 between October 17th and 10th, with more details to come regarding a quick return to another DPC season.
