Amazon has announced that the open beta will begin September 9-12.
Amazon's New World game has been delayed multiple times since 2020, but the September 28 release date announced in August looks set to be permanent. During Gamescom's Opening Night Live, Amazon announced that the open beta will begin September 9-12.
For New World, which ran a closed beta in July, delays began in April 19 after problems caused by the COVID-2020 pandemic. New World is an MMO-style game for Windows PC where players colonize a fictional continent somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Players in groups of 50 can experience the excitement of PvP in big battles.
Amazon Game Studios first announced the game at TwitchCon in 2016 alongside two other PC titles: one is the canceled Breakaway and another is Crucible, which was first released and then taken down.
Gamescom continues throughout this week, Microsoft held a pre-show event on Tuesday where it made announcements about Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Xbox Game Pass.
