Amouranth banned from Twitch, Instagram and TikTok

Just after 15 p.m. CT today, the independent Twitch bot monitoring Twitch streamers' bans tweeted that popular ASMR streamer Amouranth has been banned from the platform. Viewers trying to log into Amouranth's Twitch channel said, "Sorry. If you don't have a time machine, that content is unavailable” message

Amouranth confirmed the ban himself, with a tweet saying "I've been banned from everywhere". This is the fifth Twitch ban recorded since 2019.

The main Instagram account with millions of followers was also disabled. However, Amouranth's Instagram “sub-account” Amouranth Too has not been removed. The official TikTok account also appears to be banned.

The publisher has yet to comment on the reason for these bans and account deactivation. Controversial Hot Tubs gained thousands of followers in May thanks to their pool broadcasts, which led to a temporary cut in ad revenue for the Twitch channel.

More recently, Amouranth was broadcasting ASMR content on Twitch to thousands of viewers with obscene broadcast titles like “Twins licking the microphone.” In their latest broadcast, Amouranth licked an ear-shaped ASMR microphone, while a mirrored, prerecorded loop performed alongside her like a “twin” Amouranth.

It is not known whether these social media bans relate to Twitch content or more obscene content on other platforms.
