There were a few key leaks during the development of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, including a half-hour gameplay footage and a magical boss fight. Its latest expansion has been less leaked with data mining information, including the name Dawn of Ragnarök by a French YouTuber, and now we have images, more details, and a possible release date of March 11, via its Chinese stores. another leaker claim “there will be a major DLC expansion in March 2022”.
With Reddit and Google Svartalfheim joins the dwarves to invade home expansion description sounds like frost giants and fire giants, says it will be made “in the magnificent Nine Realms in the mythology of the North” Translate. Eivor will apparently "personally experience Odin's destiny", including "shouldering the urgent task of rescuing the children, unleashing the brand new supernatural power of lightning."
As part of the Ubisoft Forward E3 event in June, senior community developer Karen Lee said "something tells me Eivor isn't done with Odin yet," before giving a peek through a door into Muspelheim, home of the fire giants. The same French dataminer above found Muspelheim mentioned in Valhalla's files, so there may be areas of focus for Svartalfheim and Muspelheim in this DLC. The leaked footage shows Odin in a corset with a blade attached, of course, as well as a decent amount of lava and ice.
It looks like this will be an expansion for those who enjoy the legendary elements of recent Assassin's Creed games, after The Siege of Paris focuses on the more historical side of things. We'll know for sure on Monday when Ubisoft's live premiere is scheduled to take place at 9:00 PM PDT / 18:00 PM CET. There will also be a title update during the week, and the game will require a full re-download.
