Barbie from the movie New Trailer! Margot Robbie brings the famous toy to life in the official trailer for Warner Bros' movie "Barbie."
Oscar nominee Robbie leads a star-studded cast that includes muscular Ryan Gosling as Barbie's toy Ken. The two actors aren't the only Barbie and Ken dolls in the movie.
For example, Dua Lipa plays the mermaid Barbie, while many other actors play different versions of the famous doll. Featuring a reference to Stanley Kubrik's "2001: A Space Odyssey," the first "Barbie" trailer officially introduced the world to Robbie's Barbie, but didn't reveal much about the characters or the story. It has since become clear that Barbie and Ken have been placed in the real world and have had to grapple with the challenges of not just being dolls anymore.

The screenplay of “Barbie”, directed by Gerwig, was co-written by the director and his wife, filmmaker Noah Baumbach. Gerwig stated that he was a little worried and a little scared while undertaking the highly anticipated project. Usually the best works are of this type. I am very afraid of this. Every time you say, 'This could be a career break,' you say, 'Okay, I should probably do that'." “Barbie” is a co-production of Mattel Films, Heyday Films and Robbie and his wife Tom Ackerley's LuckyChap Entertainment company.
