Extra Salt has added North American rifleman Rickly “floppy” Kemery to its CS:GO roster, the organization announced today.
Floppy will effectively join the roster immediately, effectively leaving the void created by the departure of Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek, who moved to the bench yesterday because he wanted to take an indefinite hiatus from the competition. It has already been reported that Cloud9 Blue is preparing to return to floppy CS:GO after spending the last five months as a VALORANT player.
“Excited to be back in CS with my good friends,” Floppy wrote on Twitter. He played alongside Extra Salt's in-game leader Johnny “JT” Theodosiou and AWPer Josh “oSee” Ohm in ATK and C2019 from 2020-9.
After placing the C21 squad on the bench in October 2020, the 9-year-old stopped playing with them and signed with an international team led by Alex McMeekin. The roster was named “The Colossus” by general manager Henry “HenryG” Greer, but failed to deliver the results the organization wanted.
This seems like a definite comeback for floopy, who played a few official CS:GO matches after switching to VALORANT. Some fans will wonder how long it will take for him to recapture the Counter-Strike mechanics and whether Extra Salt can help it reach new heights in the next few months.
Floppy will make its official debut with Extra Salt on Saturday, October 23 at the ESEA Fall Cash Cup in North America.
