Fnatic has removed AWPer Jackinho from its CS:GO roster, according to an announcement today. The Movistar Riders smooya serves as a temporary substitute for this week's Intel Extreme Masters Winter open qualifiers, while Fnatic is looking for a long-term player.
“We want to thank Jack for his games and performance last year,” the announcement says. “In the coming months, we will explore new options for our AWP role and move further towards the results we want,” the organization adds.
Fnatic's results over the past few months have been bad. The team failed to reach the top four in 7, except for cs_summit 2021 in January, Snow Sweet Snow in April and Spring Sweet Spring in May. Recently Fnatic, IEM Fall 2021: 21-24 in Europe. he took the spot and went 0-5 and missed his chance to qualify for the PGL Stockholm Major.
Jackinho's move to the bench isn't the first time the organization has made a change to its CS:GO roster. At the beginning of August, the team transitioned to an international roster by adding mezii and ALEX.
The team rose to fame in 2015 by dominating the CS:GO scene. Aiming to return to the top of the world rankings is understandable, but so far this year's results have been nothing short of disappointing.
