A massive (GTA 6) Grand Theft Auto VI content, including pre-alpha and multiple screenshots of the game, was released on public forums early Sunday morning.
The footage was reportedly retrieved from Rockstar's servers by a single hacker who calls himself a "teapotuberhacker" and also claims to have "GTA 5 and 6 source code, images, plus the GTA 6 test build."
The videos feature footage of a female protagonist walking through a strip club (the GTA series will feature a female character for the first time), and there's also another male character driving an AK-47 driving past police cars. In another video, both characters are shown together robbing a restaurant.
The leaks first surfaced on GTAForums. After the news went viral on social media, the hacker who spread the images updated their original post and directed any employee of Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive to contact them via email because they "wanted to negotiate a deal."
Grand Theft Auto VI was confirmed to be in active development by Rockstar at the end of a blog post on the company's official website in February. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have officially commented on the leak as of this writing.
