VALORANT Patch 3.08 brings several exciting updates to the game, such as allowing players to equip any skin level of the default version of the skin, and getting notifications when Riot Games takes action against a reported player.
Reporting cheaters or problem players helps Riot monitor and deal with these harassers. If Riot takes action against a reported player, players will now receive a notification and provide a closing, satisfaction notification. If you are offline, the notification will appear the next time you load the game.
There's even a new option in the player card menu to hide your account level from players who aren't your friends.
Additionally, Patch 3.08 will allow players to equip any skin level of the default version of the skin. This is an important update as many players want to adjust the level of their skins, such as the Prime 2.0 Karambit.
Various performance updates in Patch 3.08 will also improve the VALORANT gaming experience. Reduced the number of times it needs to update itself, reducing instances where the UI is overridden. Viper's Poison Cloud and ultimate ability have been further optimized.
There are even new esports features in Patch 3.08. Coaches can switch between players with key assignments 1 to 5 from left to right along the HUD. Coaches will also see a Picture-in-Picture feature on their top player HUD to show who they're watching and avoid confusion. Now the player on the minimap will be able to see the keybindings as observers.
Various bugs have also been fixed in patch 3.08, such as weapon skins appearing incorrectly and Viper's gloves appearing on the right side of his hands in left-handed mode. Viper's ultimate no longer spawns incorrectly when placed on shipping crates at site B in the Icebox.
