LoL Developers Are Working on the Demanded Briar Feature. It's only been a week since Briar, the ever-hungry Gorillaz-inspired jungler, hit live League of Legends servers. The champion's release has been a rollercoaster ride, first having an abysmal win rate, moving beyond breaking, and now getting its first quality of life update.
According to August “Riot August” Browning, League of Legends champion designer and the man behind characters like Bel’Veth, Zeri, and Jinx, his latest creation, Briar, will soon be getting a frenzy bar.
The Frenzy bar will activate when Briar uses her Blood Frenzy/Snack Attack ability, which can be seen just below her health bar. Currently, only players using Briar can see how long the Frenzy will last in their UI, and this change is expected to increase clarity for enemy players to know how long this effect will last as well.
However, Riot August hasn't announced the exact release date for this quality of life change, but it's safe to assume it could arrive in the next patch, Patch 13.19, especially since it's a minor feature and already looks polished and ready to ship.
While Riot is at it, it can bring the same clarity to other champions like Tryndamere and Olaf. Both Tyndamere and Olaf's ultimates don't give opponents any indication of how long they last, and when you don't know how long you'll have to wait to use your CC abilities and you're robbing those drain-tanking machines from your carries, it's pretty hard to play around that.
Patch 13.19 is a Worlds patch and as such comes with a number of large-scale changes to make the meta versatile, rich and, most importantly, interesting to watch. So this patch brings tweaks to champions known for their dominant presence in professional play, such as Galio, Gangplank, Lee Sin, and Lissandra.
