Mario Strikers: Battle League, the first game for the Strikers/Soccer Mario sports franchise in 15 years, has announced a free demo that includes a total of 3 hours of online multiplayer matches from June 5 to June 6. Demo now Available on Nintendo Switch and is available for download until June 5th.
The offline mode of the demo, called the “First Kick Demo Event”, is a training module that allows players to become acquainted with the basics of football as a Mario sport. Online matches will support random matchmaking and friend invitations. Nintendo says demo players can try out all 10 characters available at launch to create a team that fits their preferred playstyle.
Online multiplayer will be available on the following dates and times:
June 3, 07:00-08:00 Turkey time
June 4, 15:00-16:00 Turkey time
June 4, 11:00-12:00 Turkey time
June 4, 07:00-08:00 Turkey time
June 5, 15:00-16:00 Turkey time
June 5, 11:00-12:00 Turkey time
A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to access the multiplayer portion of the First Kick Demo Event. Nintendo is extending the usual seven-day free trial for non-subscribers.
Mario Strikers: Battle League launches for Nintendo Switch on June 10. The new game is the long-distance sequel to 2007's Mario Strikers Charged for Wii and 2005's Super Mario Strikers for GameCube. All three games were developed by long-time collaborator Next Level Games, which Nintendo acquired in 2021.
