MSI's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X leak reveals the new card and its features.
VideoCardz Leaked images provided by MSI show that MSI has picked up the RTX 3090 Ti with a three-fan, 10,752-slot design built on the GA102 GPU with 3.5 CUDA cores. The Ada Lovelace 4000 series, which are Nvidia's new generation GPUs, are also reported to have a triple fan air cooler and a 3,5-slot design from card partners. The 3.5-slot design makes this the thickest GPU in the generation.
Other notable specs include clock speeds and memory, as well as the card's rather thirsty power consumption. Nvidia's core clock runs at 1.860 MHz, but MSI's has boosted it to 1.965 MHz with the 1950 MHz Extreme and Gaming Clock.
Higher clocks equal higher power, which puts the TDP 30W above Nvidia's 480W reference card. The new 12VHPWR PCIe Gen 5 (12+4-pin) power connector has cards covered up to 4000W, which Nvidia reportedly will be required for the 600 series. Nvidia and its partners are expected to ship a 3×8-pin 12VHPWR adapter with these cards. Still, buyers will need a 3090W PSU to support the RTX 750 Ti.
In terms of memory, the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X will have 21GB of memory at 24Gbps.
For connections, the card has 3 DisplayPort 1.4a ports and an HDMI 2.1 port. The card can support 120K up to 4Hz with HDR or 60K at 8Hz with HDR enabled. The HDMI 2.1 port also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
No official pricing or release date is available. The RTX 3090 Ti is expected to launch on March 29 in a few days.
