Natus Vincere won season 3 of CS:GO's ESL Pro League after a 2-14 win against Team Vitality in the grand final. This win wraps up the third season of the Intel Grand Slam and Na'Vi takes their fourth event victory to take home the $1 million prize.
Na'Vi had the advantage of starting the series with their map of choice, Dust2, choosing to catch Vitality off guard early on. While they typically favored A Longs on the T-side, they focused mostly on B-zone throughout the first half, constantly taking control of the middle to split the Vitality defence. They went back to zone A and ended the first half leading 10-5. Vitality secured several laps of economy to start the second half before the first full buy, winning the first buy but then giving Na'Vi the eco round in the next round while they were leading 12-9 over Na'Vi.
Needing to slow Na'Vi's momentum, Vitality got off to a rough start to the Inferno map with ZywOo and s1mple's first-half duels. Vitality was up 7-1 on the T-side, but narrowed the lead in France to 9-6 before Na'Vi switched sides.
Na'Vi would regain momentum by taking the pistol round on the CT side and building his lead. However, the Vitality defense took the Inferno map 6-6 with a perfect score of 16/6 in the CT rounds.
On the Nuke map, s1mple took a terrific three-kill from the corner of the B bombsite in the opening pistol round. This game gave Na'Vi an early impetus and won the first five rounds. Even after Vitality took its first round, Navi's young player showed b1t influence, giving Na'Vi an 11-4 lead at halftime. He finished the second half leading 16-11.
On the Overpass map, Vitality brought the series to 16-7 with a nice 2-2 game and advanced towards the last map. The last match of the series took place on the Mirage map. Mirage was the closest map of the series, with Na'Vi leading 15-14. A massive 1k from S3mple finally finished the grueling, hour-long sequence in Mirage 16-14. Finishing the series 3-2, Na'Vi thus became the champion of ESL Pro League Season 14.
