Currently, the players game is not even played.
The studio said today that NetherRealm Studios is "still working" to fix major issues that have caused Injustice 2 to crash over the past three days. While NetherRealm Studios is still trying to find and fix things, the crashes made the game nearly unplayable for days.
This issue impacted the game on all platforms including console, PC, and mobile with the same storyline. They report that Injustice 2 crashed after installing the Games and NRS logos. The game shows no error messages and returns the user to the home screen.
Initial reports started coming in on September 2, with the NRS responding on September 3 on its official Injustice 2 Twitter account, stating that the team is working to track down the underlying issue. This was the first post since April 14, 2020, when the Twitter account retweeted a post from Mortal Kombat creators and NRS creative director Ed Boon.
The developers have since stated that they expect an "extended outage" for the game and hope to have more information in the coming days.
As of now, there are no fixes that players can apply themselves. This means players won't be able to play the game in any capacity until the NRS finds a fix and either fixes the issue or releases a patch to do it retroactively.
